We are actively seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) & General Manager (GM). The role will be based in McLean, VA. Location within commuting distance of Washington DC area is required, as periodic travel will be required as necessary to client sites. The role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Position Summary
Driven by the goal of evolving and scaling Harmonia into a major government technology services provider, we are seeking an SVP & GM for our National Security Business Unit.
This leader will be responsible for leading and scaling a $60M portfolio delivering technology and mission services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of State, and the Department of War. The role is a full-spectrum leadership position with accountability for growth strategy, delivery excellence, financial performance, and talent development.
The leader serves as the general manager of the business unit, with full responsibility for P&L, strategy, execution, and growth. The leader will balance near-term operational excellence with long-term strategic expansion, with a focus on high-quality delivery to the mission-critical national security mission while aggressively expanding our business footprint.
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading large, complex programs, engaging senior government stakeholders, and building and executing a scalable growth strategy in the federal technology market. They will work closely with the other business unit leaders and executive leadership team to drive company growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Leadership / P&L Ownership
- Own full profit and loss responsibility for a $60M business unit, including revenue growth, margin performance, and cost control.
- Establish and execute a 4-year growth roadmap to aggressively scale the business
- Work with company leadership to set annual operating plans, budgets, and performance targets aligned with company strategy
- Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership on business performance, risks, and opportunities
Growth & Capture Strategy
- Lead the growth strategy for the business unit, including pipeline development, capture planning, and strategic roadmaps for National Security services aligned with market needs.
- Personally engage in priority captures and recompetes, serving as executive sponsor where appropriate.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government clients, teaming partners, and industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with corporate growth teams on growth strategy, market expansion, and development of new offerings.
Program Delivery
- Ensure high-quality mission-focused delivery across all programs.
- Oversee business unit performance related to cost, schedule, scope, and customer satisfaction.
- Adapt and scale delivery models to accommodate growth.
- Drive continuous improvement in execution, staffing, and operational efficiency
People Development
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing leadership team across accounts and programs
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus
- Mentor program managers and emerging leaders and help them grow their careers by driving towards the greater company goals and values
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the senior interface with all National Security clients, including SES-level and political stakeholders
- Represent the company in industry forums, partner meetings, and customer briefings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction while positioning the business for future growth opportunities.

Professional Experience And Qualifications
- 15+ years in General Management, Leadership, and/or Professional Services senior leadership as a Partner, Managing Director, or equivalent roles, with a proven track record of driving strong business and growth results against target plans. Prefer experience overseeing high-growth operations in government technology or mission services.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in technology-focused professional services/consulting firms as a Partner, Managing Director, Principal, Practice Leader or Engagement Leader.
- Proven experience leading $40M-$100M+ business portfolios with P&L responsibility
- Strong track record of organic growth, including successful captures, recompetes, and pipeline development, with an emphasis on unrestricted / full and open competitions.
- Deep understanding of the Department of Homeland Security and/or the Department of State missions, acquisition environments, and customer priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to balance growth, delivery, and financial performance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS clearance.
- Experience building and scaling federal technology mission-oriented business practices from a small business delivery model to a large, full and open delivery model.
- Ability to identify and develop executive relationships with clients, partners, industry analysts to leverage relationships for references, marketing assets, events and interviews.
- Customer-centric approach and a passion for helping customers address issues and focus on improving their core business.
- Willingness to embrace change and adapt in a rapidly evolving, fast-moving market and company.
- Demonstrated success building and reinforcing a unique and creative culture that is team-oriented and collaborative.
- Strong time management and organizational skills. Proven record of producing high-quality deliverables and results, on-time.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and in presentations.
- Leading by example. Working hard with a willingness to get involved in whatever needs to be done.
