IDR is seeking a Power BI Senior Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves developing and managing enterprise-grade Power BI solutions that support data-driven decision making. The position offers the chance to contribute to impactful public infrastructure projects and improve organizational data capabilities.
Position Overview for the Power BI Senior Developer:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI semantic models using best practice dimensional modeling techniques.
- Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and tables to enable comprehensive business analytics.
- Build and deploy intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Write optimized SQL queries and stored procedures in Oracle and SQL Server environments to support BI data pipelines.
- Manage Power BI Service components, including workspaces, datasets, gateways, and governance policies.
Requirements for the Power BI Senior Developer:
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Strong expertise in semantic modeling, advanced DAX programming, and Power Query (M language).
- Solid SQL development experience in both Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience with Power BI administration, including gateways, RLS/OLS, workspace governance, and capacity management.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
