IDR is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Sacramento, CA. This role involves supporting a state government project focused on health and human services technology, working with a team to design and develop scalable software solutions in a secure environment.
Position Overview for the Senior Java Developer:
- Analyze and understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions and system designs
- Lead technical design discussions and development efforts for application features and enhancements
- Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Web Services, and Spring Batch
- Build and maintain microservices-based architectures for scalable and reliable systems
- Develop frontend interfaces using React to support user-facing functionality
Requirements for the Senior Java Developer:
- 5+ years experience with Java programming, including designing and developing enterprise-level backend services
- Advanced proficiency in Spring Web Services and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience building scalable applications
- Must have experience with microservices architecture, enabling them to design and maintain modular and distributed systems
- Experience developing batch processing solutions, such as Spring Batch, is also required
- Must have familiarity with PostgreSQL databases, including writing queries, managing data structures, and supporting application data needs
