IDR is seeking a QA Engineer II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Mercer Island, Washington. In this role, you’ll help ensure high-quality software releases by building and executing test strategies, partnering closely with engineers and product stakeholders, and driving defect discovery through to resolution. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on testing, strong collaboration, and improving QA processes in a fast-paced digital products environment.
Position Overview for the QA Engineer II:
- Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites across web and/or application features
- Identify, document, and track defects to resolution, partnering with engineering to validate fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and improve test coverage early in the development lifecycle
- Support release readiness by performing risk-based testing and providing clear quality status updates
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA workflows, tooling, and best practices
Requirements for the QA Engineer II:
- Experience in software quality assurance/testing in an Agile environment
- Strong ability to write clear test cases, reproduce issues, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical partners
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira and similar platforms)
- Understanding of SDLC concepts and hands-on experience with functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Strong collaboration skills with a detail-oriented, quality-first mindset
