IDR is seeking a Payroll Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts. This full-time role involves overseeing payroll operations within a large healthcare organization, utilizing advanced payroll systems and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The company is known for its commitment to excellence in healthcare services and employee management.
Position Overview for the Payroll Manager:
- Manages the Payroll Services department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and hospital policies.
- Coordinates activities related to year-end bonus payments, executive compensation payouts, and other employee-related activities.
- Leads, develops, and mentors a team of payroll professionals, fostering growth and operational excellence.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement payroll system enhancements and streamline payroll processes.
Requirements for the Payroll Manager:
- 6 years of payroll experience using PeopleSoft 9.2
- Demonstrated payroll experience within the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare-specific pay practices, compliance requirements, and complex payroll environments
- Prior experience in a large, highly complex 24 x 7 setting with multiple payrolls and diverse payroll practices.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
