IDR is seeking a Patient Services Assistant II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Redwood City, CA. This role is within a busy healthcare environment, focusing on administrative support and patient care coordination at a local health center.
Position Overview for the Patient Services Assistant II:
- Documenting, recording, and entering patient appointments, billing information, insurance plans, and other confidential information in Electronic Medical Records and billing programs
- Perform accurate and detailed patient services office clerical work
- Prioritize work and coordinate several activities effectively
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a word processor and computer terminal; use initiative and sound independent judgment within established guidelines
- Make accurate arithmetic calculations and maintain organized, accurate files and records
Requirements for the Patient Services Assistant II:
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must have experience with Electronic Medical Record systems
- Strong documentation, recording, and data entry skills
- Ability to work effectively with difficult people, including very sick or uncooperative patients
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
