Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Network Architect:

- Design, implement, and support networking for intelligent transportation systems, including advanced traffic signal controllers, adaptive signal control, and transit signal priority systems.
- Maintain the overall network at optimal operating levels, including solution design, implementation, administration, and support.
- Monitor network performance and health, addressing any issues that arise.
- Oversee complex network design, including routing, hardware, and software components, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Provide engineering oversight for complex network projects to improve overall network health and performance.

Required Skills for Network Architect:

- 6+ years of experience in networking services with demonstrated experience with Cisco products, enterprise networking environment, and network performance monitoring tools, including software defined networking.
- Experience communicating complex technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge and understanding of Dynamic Routing Protocols (IP, OSPF, and BGP).
- Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN).
- Knowledge and understanding of intelligent Traffic Systems.
