Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for an Information Assurance/Security Specialist IV to support our proposal effort for the DHA Geographic Service Providers in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Position Overview:
- The Information Assurance/Security Specialist IV serves as the senior cybersecurity and information assurance lead responsible for protecting Defense Health Agency (DHA) information systems, networks, and data within Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs). This position provides advanced security expertise to ensure compliance with DoD, DHA, and cybersecurity requirements while supporting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of mission-critical healthcare and business systems.
- The specialist leads security assessments, risk management activities, vulnerability remediation efforts, and cybersecurity compliance initiatives. The role collaborates with Government stakeholders, system administrators, network engineers, and other IT personnel to implement security controls, maintain accreditation requirements, investigate security issues, and support secure IT operations across the enterprise healthcare environment.
Functional Responsibility:
- Designated with managing and coordinating the delivery and performance of IA/cybersecurity services at Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi.
- Lead and oversee the implementation of information assurance and cybersecurity measures to ensure compliance with PWS requirements and organizational policies.
- Act as the primary advisor on cybersecurity matters, providing expert guidance to stakeholders and team members.
- Responsible for overall design, development, and creation of C&A documentation packages; performs ISSO services.
- Conducts penetration testing and full lifecycle IA security analyses for large-scale operational environments.
- Manages ACAS/SCAP scanning, STIG/SRG compliance, IAVA/IAVB implementation, and CCRIs.
- Updates and documents enclave artifacts in eMASS; maintains RMF packages and POA&Ms.
- Administer all security-related documentation including SSAAs, waivers, ports/protocol registration, user rights tracking.
- Performs independent thinking and complex tasks with little to no supervision; supervises lower-level cyber positions.
- Contributes to Monthly Progress Report.
Required Experience:
- 8+ Years of progressive applicable experience.
- Knowledge and expertise in information assurance and cybersecurity practices, with a proven ability to manage and secure complex IT environments
- Experience in leading cybersecurity teams and coordinating efforts to meet compliance and security objectives
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g., RMF) and industry standards such as National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and DoW security protocols.
- Familiar with eMASS, ACAS, SCAP, and DHA cybersecurity tools.
- Advanced experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity and information assurance operations in secure environments.
- Experience supporting RMF processes, security controls, compliance validation, and accreditation activities.
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, patch validation, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
- Experience implementing and validating Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and secure configuration baselines.
- Experience monitoring enterprise systems for cybersecurity events, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity incident response, investigation, containment, reporting, and remediation.
- Experience supporting CAC/PKI authentication, user access management, privileged access controls, and account security
- Experience supporting security audits, inspections, compliance reporting, and documentation management.
- Experience securing desktops, servers, operating systems, and network-connected systems.
- Experience using enterprise security tools for vulnerability scanning, compliance monitoring, and security reporting.
- Experience preparing cybersecurity documentation, POA&Ms, security reports, compliance metrics, and operational status reporting
- Experience supporting DHA, DoD, or healthcare IT systems preferred due to Military Treatment Facility operational environment
- Ability to coordinate with Government cybersecurity personnel, system administrators, network teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Supports operational reporting, cybersecurity metrics, SLA tracking, compliance reporting, and documentation.
- Master's degree and/or equivalency
- ITIL 4 Foundation (PREFERRED)
Certification Requirements: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & IAT III Certified is Required to Start
Clearance Requirements: Interim Secret Clearance & DHA CAC required to Start.
