IDR is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This hybrid role involves managing and supporting enterprise server and storage infrastructure within a leading technology organization focused on cloud computing and virtualization services.
Position Overview for the Senior Systems Administrator:
- Responsible for managing and supporting enterprise server and storage infrastructure, including installation, maintenance, upgrades, and user support
- Ensures systems operate in compliance with organizational security standards while providing on-call and weekend support as needed
- Administers and optimizes VMware environments, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices
- Manages storage systems and platforms, with experience in zoning, backups, and network configurations using Brocade switches
Requirements for the Enterprise Systems Administrator:
- 5+ years of professional IT infrastructure experience in enterprise or cloud environments
- 4+ years of experience with virtualization and hybrid cloud environments (e.g., VMware vSphere / VMware Cloud)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure focused)
- Strong experience with cloud-based storage, backups, and infrastructure monitoring/optimization
