Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Demand Planner:
 
Create and maintain detailed demand plans by customer, brand, and SKU to guide production and supply planning

Analyze historical sales, market trends, and demand drivers to build accurate forecasts

Use statistical methods, planning software, and reporting tools to monitor KPIs, forecast accuracy, fill rates, and order tracking

Prepare and present clear reports, Excel analyses, and PowerPoint presentations for leadership and cross-functional teams

Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and Finance to align demand plans with business goals and financial targets

Lead forecast alignment meetings with internal teams and customers to ensure consensus and proactive planning

Track backorders, coordinate with internal and external inventory locations, and communicate recovery plans to stakeholders

Balance supply requests to factories against financial plans to optimize procurement decisions

Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning tools, reporting metrics, and forecasting processes

Support training workshops for demand planners and manage the skill assessment and development of one indirect report
 

Required Skills for the Demand Planner:

5+ years in Supply Chain/Demand Planning (customer/brand/SKU level forecasting)

Advanced Excel (LOOKUPs, IF statements, Pivot Tables, large dataset manipulation)

ERP/Planning systems experience (SAP strongly preferred)

Hands-on use of demand planning/forecasting tools to analyze fill rates, backorders, forecast error, etc.

Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field
