IDR is seeking a Data Operations Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX, NYC, or Cupertino, CA. This hybrid role involves supporting a major technology company's data and analytics infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and deployment of data systems.
Position Overview for the Data Operations Engineer:
- Lead daily operations to deliver high-quality data and analytics results
- Provision, scale, and maintain data, ML, and analytics infrastructure in hybrid cloud environments
- Collaborate on building observability, monitoring, alerting, and self-healing tools for analytics foundations
- Manage zero-downtime deployment processes through continuous delivery practices
- Debug complex issues in distributed environments and handle production incidents efficiently
Requirements for the Data Operations Engineer:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with forward thinking capability and strong executional track record
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments such as Gitlab, Spinnaker, Docker/Kubernetes
- Proficiency with programming languages like Python, Go, Rust, Java, or Scala for automation and API integrations
- Experience implementing security controls, governance, compliance validation, and infrastructure cost optimization
