Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Category Development Manager:Accountable for leading and managing a team of category managers, who oversee a wider range of products within specific categories, focusing on the overall performance of the product group. This role includes product management duties, with a strong emphasis on supplier relations and negotiations. Responsible for providing training and product information to both internal staff and external franchises in the Automotive and Industrial sectors. Oversees the addition, prioritization, pricing, and sourcing of all products.
Required Skills for Category Development Manager:- 7+ years’ Marketing, Purchasing, Merchandising, or Category/Product Management experience in Automotive or Industrial maintenance & repair items. (if they are coming from larger enterprise places – more flexibility on years of experience)
- Preferred experience with legacy ERP systems or Oracle ERP.
