Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Accounts Receivable Representative:

• Engage in billing and collections activities, including generating invoices, applying payments, and managing past-due accounts. • Utilize ERP systems and software such as Waystar, Instamed, Availity, and WellSky, along with proficiency in Excel for tasks like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. • Reconcile accounts, research unapplied or misapplied payments, and monitor AR aging to identify collection priorities. • Communicate professionally with customers, patients, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and negotiate overdue payments. • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in managing high-volume AR and resolving claim denials or disputes.

Required Skills for Accounts Receivable Representative:

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles, debits/credits, and the AR process. • Experience in healthcare-specific accounts receivable, including handling EOBs and insurance denials. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to maintain positive provider/payer relationships. • Ability to adapt to new systems and processes while maintaining integrity and dependability.
