Position Overview:

RIVA Solutions is seeking to hire an Accounting Clerk to work in support of a US Department of Interior (DOI) program in Denver, CO. This program will be dedicated to the accounting operations and maintenance support of the Financial Management Directorate (FMD).

Responsibilities:

• Assists in preparing and gathering data for preparing reconciliation
• Process vendor payments and making deposits
• Process sales orders in SAP or Oracle Federal Financials
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Use accounting systems to process and interpret financial data

 Description

• Education or in a training capacity which indicates a knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, concepts and theories and the ability to apply them to a variety of financial problems. Education or in a training capacity which indicates a knowledge of the theory, principles and practice of fund accounting in a federal government environment.
• Education or in a training capacity which would indicate an ability to analyze, reconcile and interpret financial data, extract pertinent details and prepare reports in a federal financial environment specifically dealing with deposit funds, vendor payments, cash collections, un-liquidated obligations, payroll and/or property.
• Education or in a training capacity which would indicate a knowledge of computerized accounting systems, particularly accounting systems designed to account for appropriated funds.
• Education or in a training capacity which would indicate a working knowledge of computerized word processing and spreadsheet application software.
• Potential in maintaining effective interaction with employees and customers from various organization and potential ability to communicate effectively regarding financial matters, both orally and in writing.
